Workbooks

We believe that knowledge acquisition is best undertaken in advance of group based learning.  This makes the best use of everyone’s time and ensures that the expensive workshop or classroom based learning is used to best effect as an active, exploratory and discussion based process.  However, not everyone can undertake pre-attendance e-Learning.  Many of our clients have learners without reliable internet access and often this is compounded by language differences or other barriers to accessing online learning.  We use workbooks as part of our solution to these issues.  The workbooks we produce are:
  • Targeted at particular groups
  • Adaptable to meet local needs
  • Easily translatable
  • Research based – designed to stimulate thought and enable learners to consider local issues rather than simply passive reading.
When we design face to face modules, we will usually support facilitators further by providing learner workbooks for use in the workshop.  These will contain task briefs and summary information – enabling a facilitator to reproduce one resource pack, rather than copying multiple handouts.  The organisation can also be assured that by using the during course workbooks, consistency of message is maintained wherever and whenever the workshop material is used.
